Noosa has beautiful beaches from the surf beach of Sunshine to the Nudist beach of Alexander Bay. A fabulous way to absorb some of Noosa’s beauty is to take a bush walk on the Noosa National Park track. It winds around the magnificent coastline and takes you past private Cove’s such as Little Cove and the surfer’s haven of Tea Tree beach. There’s a look out to take some scenic shots and there are crystal clear rock pools to cool off at along the way. The track eventually takes you to Alexander Bay or what the locals call “A Bay”. It is commonly known as the nudist beach. It does have unpredictable surf with big waves and sometimes rips but if you are a strong swimmer, I highly recommend a dip. The day we were there, we were the only ones on the bay and the water was so clean, I felt like I was on a secluded tropical island! You can also take the track right over to Sunshine Beach if you have some extra time.
It’s the perfect way to start the day and you can relax among the tall eucalyptus trees afterwards at the Bean and Gone coffee canteen in the Information Centre at the start/end of the National Park Track. It is THE best coffee I have ever had, perfectly made with love. Ahhhhh, serenity.
